ILS Proton Successfully Launches Nimiq 5 Satellite

BAIKONUR COSMODROME, Kazakhstan, September 18, 2009 –International Launch Services (ILS), a world leader in providing mission and launch services to the commercial satellite industry, successfully carried the Nimiq 5 satellite into orbit today on an ILS Proton for Telesat, the fourth largest fixed satellite services operator worldwide. This was the fifth commercial mission of the year for ILS and the seventh successful Proton launch of 2009. With the launch of Nimiq 5 today, ILS has launched half of Telesat’s operational fleet.

ILS Proton Launcher Erected for Nimiq 5 Launch

 

BAIKONUR COSMODROME, Kazakhstan, September 15, 2009 – The Proton M/ Breeze M integrated launch vehicle (ILV) designated for the launch of the Nimiq 5 telecommunications satellite has been erected on Pad 39 at the Baikonur Cosmodrome. Launch rehearsal also completed nominally.

The KhSC Quality Initiatives: 2009 Fall Update

The vertical integration of Proton key suppliers under KhSC had prompted efforts to consolidate the various Quality Management Systems (QMS) into the KhSC QMS. ILS Proton Successfully Launches AsiaSat 5 Satellite

 

BAIKONUR COSMODROME, Kazakhstan, August 12, 2009 – International Launch Services (ILS), a world leader in providing mission and launch services to the commercial satellite industry, successfully carried the AsiaSat 5 satellite into orbit today on an ILS Proton for Asia Satellite Telecommunications Company Limited (AsiaSat) of Hong Kong. This was the fourth commercial mission of the year for ILS and the sixth successful Proton launch of 2009. From contract signing to launch, the full integration of the AsiaSat 5 mission was completed in less than six months.
