International Launch Services Announces the Contract with Gazprom Space Systems

RESTON, Va,  May  28, 2010 – International Launch Services (ILS) today announced the contract for the ILS Proton launch of two commercial satellites, YAMAL 401 and YAMAL 402, for Russian satellite operator, Gazprom Space Systems. Gazprom is the parent company of Gazprom Space Systems and is the world’s largest producer of natural gas. The launches are scheduled for 2012-2013.

Media Advisory: ILS Proton to Launch Hosted Payload for Intelsat

An ILS Proton will launch the Intelsat 22 satellite for Intelsat S.A., the world’s leading provider of fixed satellite services. The Intelsat 22 satellite is under construction by Boeing Space and Intelligence Systems is scheduled for launch in the first half of 2012. The Intelsat 22 mission is part of the Intelsat Multi-Launch Agreement which allowed Intelsat the flexibility to substitute the Intelsat 22 satellite for the previously-announced Intelsat 21 satellite.

ILS Proton Successfully Launches SES-1 for SES

Satellite 2010 Update: Commercial Launch Providers Panel

During the Satellite 2010 conference in National Harbor, Maryland, March 15-18, ILS President Frank McKenna participated as a panelist during the session on commercial launch vehicles, entitled “The Launch Vehicle Manifesto: New Options for Evolving Requirements” held on March 16. ILS Proton to Launch Intelsat 21 and Intelsat 23 for Intelsat

Reston, VA, March 15, 2010– International Launch Services (ILS) announced two firm missions with the ILS Proton launches of the Intelsat 21 satellite and the Intelsat 23 satellite for Intelsat S.A., the world’s leading provider of fixed satellite services.  Intelsat 21 is under construction by Boeing Space and Intelligence Systems with a launch planned in early 2012. The Intelsat 23 satellite is being built by Orbital Sciences Corporation, and is slated to launch in late 2011.
