Title: Licensing Manager
Description of Position:
This Licensing Manager is responsible for maintaining and preparing various US Government authorizations and licenses, and being the primary point of contact for the ILS users of related issues. The individual will report to the Director of Government Relations and Licensing.
The ILS Licensing Manager is an Exempt position.
Responsibilities:
•Prepare, submit and maintain hardware and technical data licenses/technical assistance agreements (TAA), to include, but not limited to, TAA execution and TTCP preparation and submission •Conduct mission-specific and other TAA/license training (general export compliance training, as required) •Process requests for export of technical data using external and internal systems •Interface with internal and external customers, as required •Review other internal export/import requests (determine applicability of ITAR and other USG regulations) •Provide support to employees involved in international activities such as foreign travel, meetings with foreign persons, and ensure export compliance •Provide guidance and advice regarding export/import requirements, as needed •Limited travel (domestic and international) may be required
Qualifications:
{Must Have}
•Excellent written and communication skills •Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills •High level of professionalism •Initiative •College degree •US citizenship or US Permanent Resident status
{Nice to Have}
•Experience and knowledge of other US regulations such as OFAC, Commerce, Customs, BATFE •Audit experience •Bilingual (Russian, French, German,) •Interest in space, rockets and satellites a plus
Experience:
•At least 4 years experience effectively dealing with ITAR licensing and compliance issues; •Experience should include writing and submitting DSPs and TAAs, providing TAA/TTCP training, submitting General Correspondence, providing guidance and advice at a business unit level relating to export/import issues
