Title: Interpreter/ Translator
Description of Position:
• Meet the language service needs through streamlining work flow and improving cost recovery, deliver work program priorities such as providing assistance in meetings
• Interpretation support
• Implementation of solutions for workflow management and computer aided translation/terminology support tools.
• The position of Interpreter/Translator is exempt.
• The ILS Interpreter/Translator will travel, domestically and internationally, up to 20% of the time.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate translation outsource workflow
• Assist in developing and implementing business objectives to optimize cost-effective operations, with outstanding regard to quality and confidentiality
• Provide assistance for operations of ILS, its business partners and customers by ensuring sound processes for the full range of project management functions
• Provide Interpretation/Translation support in daily operations of ILS such as conference calls, on-site and off-site meetings, translation of documents, e-mails, web and magazine articles
• Develop and maintain industry and company specific glossary
• Develop and maintain solid work relationships with translation agencies
• Collaborate with ILS staff on the implementation, maintenance and enhancement of the Translation/Interpretation Department business systems and computer-aided translation/terminology tools that support the translation and interpretation process for staff and free-lancers
• Resolve issues in a timely and effective manner for customers and internal teams
Skills:
{Must Have}
• Degree or Certificate in Interpretation, Translation and/or Linguistics OR, Engineering Degree with a minimum of five years experience in the field of language services
• Strong multi-lingual verbal and written communication skills with excellent command of English and Russian
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners
• Proven ability to conceptualize, design and implement new processes and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to manage workflow and create an environment to deliver business objectives efficiently and in a professional manner
• Ability to understand and follow procedures

• Multi-lingual (French, German,)
• Interest in space, rockets and satellites a plus
